Theatre Forum is now Performing Arts Forum

Theatre Forum Members’ Meeting
9 December 2020
11.30am-1pm

Guidelines
It’s been a hectic few weeks with the Government grappling with introducing new Level 3 restrictions in line with its own Living with Covid-19 Plan contrasted with everyone’s wish to see theatres open, artists at work and audiences return safely. As the Government responds to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis and applies restrictions at the different levels of its Living with Covid-19 Framework, this has a knock-on effect on the guidelines for the performing arts. Navigating guidelines relevant to the current situation is the focus of the first part of our Members’ Meeting this Wednesday.

Digital Forum
The second part of the Meeting is a discussion to set the agenda for our planned Digital Forum in January 2021, and an opportunity to talk to Fiona Morris, Chief Executive and Creative Director of The Space about all things digital. Review the extensive resources developed by The Space Team for the UK cultural sector

Guidelines overview
Here’s the legislation currently in force, SI 560 of 2020, introduced by Minister Stephen Donnelly, and the key information about which organisations can be open currently is on pages 21-22.

Here’s a final draft of Theatre Forum’s second edition of guidelines Arts Centres – Working during Covid-19  which take account of HSE, HSA and employer responsibility changes in the months since their publication last summer.

Note that Theatre Forum’s Creating Work guidelines are currently being amended and a second edition of these will be published at the end of this week.

In addition, arts centres operating as cinemas should check that they are fully compliant with the Department’s Guidance for the Safe Operations of Cinemas during COVID-19.

Hope to see you and your colleagues on Wednesday morning – Please register here to join us on Zoom.
