Invitation to join Theatre Forum’s Arts Centre, Theatre and Venue Directors Working Group
Open Call
In 2022-2023, Theatre Forum aims to support members to build a stronger, sustainable sector. In 2022-2023, the insights of working groups such as this one are important to evolve Theatre Forum’s strategic thinking. In the last two crisis years, the fragility of the arts infrastructure, vulnerability of arts organisations and precarity of artists’ working lives were spotlighted. Theatre Forum is cognisant of its responsibilities to offer policy makers and funders an overview of the strategic issues faced by its members and the funded part of the sector, its arts centres, theatres, companies and artists.
Your Role
The Working Group will meet regularly during 2022. As a Group member, you will work with board directors to respond to current issues, to contribute to coordinated policy formulation, strategy development, and representation of Arts Centre, Theatre and Venue interests. You will be asked to commit to up to 6 Working Group meetings of 2 hours between April and 31 December 2022 to prepare recommendations for five board meetings in the same time period. Zoom and in-person and attendance will be possible for all meetings.
There are up to 5 places available. For salaried people, this is voluntary and unpaid role. For interested freelance producers or presenters, it is a paid opportunity at €150 per meeting plus any travel expenses should you wish to attend in person. To ensure that this role is accessible to all, let us know if you require additional support to take it on.

If you or someone you know is interested, please apply on this link.
