In partnership with Cork Theatre Collective and The Everyman
Irish Theatre Institute (ITI), in partnership with Cork Theatre Collective and The Everyman, is hosting a creative gathering designed to foster collaboration and connection among theatre artists.
This gathering invites theatre actors, artists, writers, creatives, makers and producers to come together, share elements of their practice, and engage in a conversation about their work. It will be informal, but intentional – focusing on building community in Cork. ITI, and partners, will also provide valuable insights on funding opportunities, offer advice on self-producing, and share key resources to help theatre artists navigate their careers.
The goal of the gathering goes beyond simple networking. It aims to support the work of Cork Theatre Collective, The Everyman, Cork Midsummer Festival and Briery Gap in cultivating a community of theatre artists in Cork City and Cork County, building lasting connections between artists and their practice.
The event’s ambition is to support the evolution of an informal network that moves beyond the typical “talking shop” model, fostering deeper relationships and ongoing collaboration.
By joining this gathering, theatre artists will not only gain practical advice and opportunities for their own work, but it is hoped it will contribute to the growth of a connected and collaborative artistic community in the region.
