Our members include independent artists and arts workers, venues and arts centres, production companies, performing arts festivals, resource organisations, Local Authority Arts Offices and more.
A growing and engaged membership base bolsters our reach and influence within the arts sector. Each member brings a unique set of skills, perspectives, and experiences, enriching the collective knowledge and diversity of our organisation. This, in turn, enhances the quality and variety of the events, programmes and resources that we can offer. Crucially, membership fees support our work and overall financial sustainability.

Rules of Membership
In addition to the provisions set out in the Company’s Constitution , the rules of Membership apply.
There are three types of membership:
- Individual
For sole traders, including freelance directors, writers, makers, actors, set designers, producers & others working in the performing arts. Individual members have voting rights at the AGM of Theatre Forum CLG trading as Performing Arts Forum.
- Member Organisation
Available to all performing arts organisations. Organisations have voting rights at the AGM of Theatre Forum CLG trading as Performing Arts Forum & the wider organisation team is welcome at all events.
- Affiliate
Open to Local Authority Arts Officers as well as individuals in any organisation affiliated with Performing Arts Forum. Affiliate Members do not have voting rights at the AGM & may not be entitled to attend a small number of Forum events.
Individual and affiliate membership subscriptions are fixed amounts, payable annually. Subscriptions for member organisations are calculated on the company’s turnover for the previous year.
