Theatre Forum welcomes the appointment of Catherine Martin TD as the new Minister for Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht. Our members across the country are looking forward to working with the Minister and her Department on tackling the key arts and culture issues in this broad portfolio. We appreciate that the Minister is committed to protecting and sustaining artists and arts workers as well as the arts sector through the present Covid-19 crisis and beyond. With Climate Action now firmly on the arts and culture agenda, Theatre Forum’s Green Arts Initiative in Ireland will continue to support Irish arts organisations to reduce their environmental impact.
