    Application Deadline: Tuesday 18th March 2025 at 5pmThe Complex is seeking an experienced Head of Finance and Business Development to oversee its financial management and support the CEO and the Board to achieve its growth and development. This role is integral to ensuring the organisation’s financial sustainability and compliance while supporting its broader mission.

    The Complex plays a crucial role in Ireland’s cultural landscape, situated in the North West Inner City of Dublin. It is a leading multidisciplinary centre for arts, dedicated to fostering creativity and cultural engagement. Located in the heart of the city, it supports artists and audiences through a diverse range of programming, including visual arts, theatre, live music, circus and dance, with a commitment to artistic excellence, inclusion and accessibility.

    The Head of Finance and Business Development will be pivotal to maintaining the financial health and long-term viability of the organisation, ensuring it can continue to provide high-quality artistic experiences and opportunities for the creative community.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgets, reporting, presenting accounts to the Board and to ensuring compliance. This is a key position within the organisation, requiring expertise in financial management and stakeholder engagement.

    Role Overview

    Responsible to the CEO and the Board
    The primary role is to oversee the financial running of the organisation
    Prepare budgets, projections, and quarterly accounts for Board assessment
    Be available to present accounts in person to the Board
    Complete the financial component of funding applications
    Develop relationships with funders, sponsors and Government bodies
    Manage Revenue payments and VAT reclaims
    Keep accounts and liaise with the auditor on the completion of annual accounts
    Ensure compliance with the Financial Regulator’s code of practice for companies limited by guarantee
    Fulfil the Charities Regulatory Authority requirements
    Oversee compliance with the Charities Governance Code

  •  Candidate Profile
    Essential Skills and ExperienceA strong background in finance, accounting, and business development, preferably within the not-for-profit, cultural, and/or social enterprise sector.
    Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and risk assessment.
    Expertise in preparing and managing financial reports, forecasts, and compliance documentation.
    Experience in preparing budgets for funding applications and liaising with grant bodies.
    The ability to engage with the Board and stakeholders at all levels.
    An analytical approach with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
