This training is ideal for artists, arts and creative workers with a general understanding of diversity and inclusion who want to acquire a deeper knowledge and develop skills when it comes to intercultural competence and engaging across lines of difference and advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:Â
The training will explore understandings of equality, diversity and inclusion in the context of intercultural competence i.e. the ability to effectively engage across lines of difference. Participants will have the opportunity to examine the various terminology, perceptions, strategies and practical tools when embracing intercultural competence in a workplace environment, developing an understanding of ways to optimise intercultural competence to enhance their cultural intelligence.
The workshop will include:
- An introduction to intercultural competence in organisations.
- Frameworks in understanding intercultural competence in a workplace environment.
- Tips for Intercultural Management.
- Gain a deeper understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion within the framework of intercultural competence.
- Explore terminology, perceptions, strategies, and practical tools related to embracing intercultural management in the workplace.
- Introduce social psychological perspectives on intercultural competence.
- Learn frameworks such as Deardoff’s A.S.K Method for understanding intercultural competence in a workplace setting.
