WHO SHOULD ATTEND:Â
This workshop is designed for Hiring Managers and Team Leaders within the arts and creative sectors.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:Â
The session will provide an insightful introduction to autism: what it is (and isn’t!), how autistic individuals experience the world, and the barriers they face in both society and the workplace.
Topics will include:
- Communication styles;
- sensory processing;
- the need for predictability and control; and
- reasonable accommodations.
This workshop will offer practical tools and valuable insights to help you create an autism-friendly interview, onboarding, and mentoring process. These strategies are crucial for fostering a more inclusive and accessible hiring environment. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a deeper understanding of autism awareness and accessibility.
The workshop will be approx. 3 hours with a 10 minute break for tea/coffee.

If you are based outside Dublin City, a limited number of travel bursaries are available to cover the travel costs to attend this workshop.
