WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Professional actors, with a minimum of two years of professional experience is required to attend this workshop. Applicants should be 18+.
Please note: This workshop is not training to become an intimacy professional but is an introduction to principles that can influence an artist’s current practice.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Join us for an intro to navigating consent, boundaries, and emotional/physical vulnerability in performance. Through practical exercises and discussion, actors will gain tools to work more safely, sustainably, and creatively across auditions, rehearsals, tech, and performance.
Topics include:
• Consent-based practices & boundaries
• Communicating around intimate content
• Working from script to stage
• Role of the Intimacy Director
• Closure, deroling & self-care
Wear loose clothing for movement work. No nudity, kissing, or intimate scenes will be performed.
If you are based outside Dublin, a limited number of travel bursaries are available to cover the travel costs to attend this workshop. This workshop is subsidised by Safe to Create.
