TEDDY TALKS is an ongoing series of advice clinics focusing on Theatre for Young Audiences. Sessions are led and facilitated by Theatre Lovett’s Joint Artistic Director Muireann Ahern, in a discursive, round table format. Muireann and guest speakers share their knowledge and experience of making theatre for all ages while participants are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the resulting dialogue.

Pitfalls and pratfalls: Lessons learned.
Who’s who? Cast, creatives and crew – now what to do!
Developing relationships with venues, festivals and programmers.
Touring and budgeting.
Children as performers.
Age pitch.
Taking responsibility for your team and your young audiences.
Child Protection Policy.
Discussion and feedback.

TEDDY TALKS is a great opportunity to connect with peers and colleagues both in Ireland and internationally.

TEDDY TALKS Network
Irish and international professionals in the field of TYA are invited to present their roles and careers and share their experiences with participants. The sessions are facilitated in a friendly, conversational way.

TEDDY TALKS is an ongoing series and past participants are always welcome to join upcoming sessions to hear from other invited guests.

With the support of the Arts Council of Ireland these Advice Clinics are offered to participants free of charge as part of Theatre Lovett’s ongoing provision and support for the growing Irish TYA sector.
