Your Space to Write, Connect, and Complete Your Application

Irish Theatre Institute (ITI) is piloting APPLICATION HAVEN: a new, artist-centred initiative designed to support theatre makers, producers, and independent artists as they navigate the next two Arts Council funding rounds.

This pilot is focused on the upcoming Theatre Bursary Award and Project Award.

What is APPLICATION HAVEN?

We’re offering a dedicated strategy day and four days of a calm, communal space in the lead-up to each deadline—somewhere to write, ask last-minute questions, and get those applications over the line.

Think of it as a creative co-working space—but tailored for final drafts, budget checks, and focused support. Whether you need a quiet corner, a bit of solidarity, or someone to sanity-check your documentation, we’re here for it.

Upcoming dates:
For Arts Council Theatre Bursary Award:
Strategy Day: Thursday 22 May – Drop in to explore ideas and approaches to your application.
Application Haven Access Days: Mon 16 – Thurs 19 June, 9:30 am–5:30 pm.

For Arts Council Project Award for Theatre:
Strategy Day: Thursday 26 June
Application Haven Access Days: Mon 21 – Thurs 24 July, 9:30 am–5:30 pm.

Where?
ITI’s first floor: a focused, quiet space for up to 20 people at a time.
Accessibility Note: If you are a wheelchair user or have other access requirements, we will provide a comfortable, fully accessible workspace nearby, with a dedicated team member on hand to support your time and focus.

What’s Provided:
A calm, dedicated writing space;
WIFI, tea and coffee, and light printing;
Peer support and encouragement;
Light-touch support from the ITI team—available for questions, reviews, and reassurance.
No booking needed—just drop in with your ideas, your laptop, and any last-minute nerves. And, bring your application draft, your questions, or just your energy (even if it’s low).
